Chapter 5 is the sixth chapter of the first season and the sixth chapter overall of Sweet Elite. It was released on March 16, 2019, and was developed and published by Dulcet Games Inc.
Summary[]
After silencing the multiple alarms they have set, Scholar prepares for the long day ahead of them. They are still processing the fact that they ranked third after the interviews, a fact that has given them newfound popularity. Even Karolina takes new notice of Scholar, something that annoys them; the only thing that has changed about them is their raking and suddenly people are all too eager to get into their good graces. Axel points out the double standard as well during a friendly chat with Scholar.
Tadashi interupts at one point to annouce the meet up time for the opening ceremony. Once they have finished their morning routine, Scholar heads to their departments designated practice room. Scholar and the rest of their department do a quick once over of their project before heading to the Hallway 1 for the opening ceremony. As the ceremony progess, Scholar gets sidelined by a reporter, who makes their anxiety rise with each progressive question. Thankfully for them, Lady Arlington steps in at that point, revealing that she used to attend the academy with the reporter. She even makes some veiled threats which gets the reporter to back off.
Lady Arlington leads Scholar back into the main building. She advises Scholar to stay alert around such people, before rejoining the parade. By this point, all of the departments have finished and were waiting at the back of the building's main room. The only ones still near its entrance are Axel and Tadashi, the latter of whom calls Scholar over when he spots them; apparently, the current top three students are supposed to appear on a small stage and make a brief statement.
Scholar gives a few words of gratitude and a few of their classmates cheer for them. After Lady Arlington closes the opening ceremony, Scholar goes back to their department's room. The entire department works on the project until lunchtime. In the crowded cafeteria lounge, Scholar manages to find a seat with a couple of students they recognize. The spend most of the lunch period chatting or bantering with them.
After lunch, they return to their practice room where their department works on the projects finishing touches. Unfortunately, they forgot something back in their dorm. They hastily go back to their dorm and grab what they need, but when they exit their room, they hear Neha crying. Neha exits her own dorm at that point and sits on the floor, clearly distress by something. Scholar is torn between trying to give some morale support or letting her have her space. Either way, they will return to their department, where everyone will continue hashing out the project until the official starting time for the acutal competition.
The competition is being held in the Auditorium. As the competition unfolds, Scholar is awed by everyone's creativity and hard work. When its time for their department, the presentation either goes off without a hitch or there is a hiccup that Scholar manages smooth over with some quick thinking. Once every department has completed their presentations and the votes are in, Lady Arlington announces the winning department and winning student. During the announcement, Scholar realizes that they have friends here; while the competition was exhausting, it helped them bond with some of their fellow students.
With the Department Competition finally at an end, the student body filters out of the auditorium. As the stress leaves the their body, Scholar cannot help but look forward to a relaxing evening. They check to make sure they have everything, only to realize they have left their phone in the cafeteria. When they go to reclaim it, one of their friends already found it. As they talk with them, it is possible for them to start showing signs that they are developing a crush.
Before long, they both realize the sun is setting. Calling it a day, Scholar walks with them back to the dorms then bid one another good night. Throwing themself on their bed, they reflect on how far they have come since their first day. However, before they can settle down completely, they hear a knock on their door. It is Serena, whose stopped by to explain that this chapter as well as the one before it comprise one huge arc; there are a lot of little hints and clues scattered throughout both and doing a combination of story and fun replays will help you get the most out of these chapters. After her explaination, she lets Scholar go so they can get some sleep.
Plot[]
Scholar and their department have been busy lately inventing something extraordinary for Department Competition, to show your talents.
While running head as your third leg organizing everything, you encounter Neha who seems to be sad and stressed. You can either leave her since you are in a very hurry and your department is waiting for you or you can console her. Later option gives you an illustration and you have a short chat with Neha who open up to you, telling she has some issues with her parents.
You then tell her that your father had to do two jobs at the same time in order to be able to buy you your school uniform which Neha responds angrily and shocked that she has always thought those uniforms are too expensive. She then says she thinks that you are a great person, sensing it right away when she met you for the first time.
Last chapter interview's results come in and you're very shocked to find out that you actually placed third, just after known millionaire's son Tadashi and famous celebrity Axel. This placement earns you a nickname "Arlington Sweetheart" and gives you much needed points towards rankings' silver tier and whole competition's win.
Each department's creations are presented in front of cameras in auditorium. The outcome of this presentation depends on each department and your decisions in previous chapter.
